Hidden Field Equation, or HFE, is a public key cryptosystem based on polynomials over finite fields [math]\displaystyle{ F_q }[/math].
Quartz is a signature scheme based on HFE. Quartz produces one of the smallest signatures among signature schemes. The tradeoff is the keys are usually very large.
